Lavash rolls are very simple and tasty snacks for the festive table. They can be submitted for both Birthday and New Year, yes, for almost any family holiday when you want variety on a rich table. This simple, tasty dish gained its popularity not so long ago, and now it takes pride of place among traditional snacks... And it's no secret that you can make lavash rolls with a huge variety of fillings.

We will tell you a few recipes for the most delicious rolls, and you will surely find the ones that suit your taste. Such snacks will surely please your guests and will delight loved ones.

The main component of this appetizer is thin Armenian lavash. It is sold in stores in the bakery department and is almost always readily available. If desired, it is not difficult to bake it yourself. But, if there is no time for this, then a good fresh pita from the store is perfect.

Lavash rolls with red fish (salmon) and cream cheese

To prepare such a roll, we need:

  • Armenian thin lavash,
  • slightly salted red fish (salmon, trout, chum salmon) - 200 grams,
  • soft cream cheese (not melted, look for soft cheeses in jars like Almetta, Cremetta, Violetta, Philadelphia, Mascarpone) - 180-200 grams,
  • lemon juice- 1-2 teaspoons, drizzle over fish.
  • greens to taste

To make pita rolls with salmon and cream cheese, cut into thin slices lightly salted salmon... The thinner the pieces are, the easier it will be to wrap the roll and the neater it will look.

Spread the cream cheese over the pita bread in a thin, even layer. Then, spread the fish slices, but not closely, but at small intervals. It is good to alternate the taste of cheese and fish in layers if you put them in a checkerboard pattern.

Sprinkle lightly with lemon juice on the salmon to accentuate the flavor. A cooking spray is a great way to apply the lemon juice in a thin, even layer.

After that, you can sprinkle the pita bread with cheese and fish with a thin layer of finely chopped greens. Dill or green onions are great. But I do not recommend putting too much greens, as they can clog delicate taste fish and cheese. Better to decorate the rolls with herbs on top, when serving.

Roll up the pita bread with a very dense sausage, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least half an hour. During this time, the lavash will soak and become softer.

Take the roll out of the refrigerator right before serving it on the festive table. After you have unwrapped it, cut into slices 2-3 centimeters thick exactly across if you want smaller portions, or diagonally, which will make the pieces longer and larger.

Arrange nicely on a plate and garnish with herbs or cherry tomatoes.

Lavash rolls with crab sticks and melted cheese

For such a delicious roll you will need:

  • Armenian lavash - 1 piece,
  • crab sticks - packaging,
  • processed cheese - 150 grams,
  • mayonnaise - 2-3 tablespoons,
  • greens to taste

For this, the roll will be useful to prepare the filling in advance, namely to mix it in the form of a salad, this will allow the ingredients to stick better with the sauce and prevent the roll from falling apart later.

Take crab sticks and grate them on a coarse grater. You can also cut it into small strips with a knife. Avoid large, thick pieces, they will make the roll bumpy and ugly, and it will be more difficult to wrap it.

If you are using hard processed cheese in briquettes, then grate it. If soft, mix it with crab sticks, but reduce the amount of mayonnaise.

Chop the herbs finely. Combine crab sticks, cheese, herbs and mayonnaise in a separate bowl until smooth.

Spread the pita bread on a clean, dry surface. Spread the resulting filling on it with an even layer. Roll the roll tightly, being careful not to leave air bubbles. Wrap the finished roll in plastic wrap and soak in the refrigerator. This should take at least half an hour, then the pita will not be too dry and the appetizer will turn out to be tender.

Before serving, remove the pita bread from the film and cut it into slices 2-3 centimeters thick. Arrange nicely on a platter and garnish as desired. Rolls with crab sticks and cream cheese are ready! Bon Appetit!

And so I divide the lavash into 2 parts and coat each with mayonnaise. It is important not to overdo it with mayonnaise. Otherwise, the lavash will turn sour.
Cut the mushrooms into small cubes and fry in vegetable oil.
When the mushrooms have cooled, they can be spread on pita bread.

Sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
Roll up the pita bread and leave for 40 minutes.

Baked pita roll with minced meat

Oven baked pita roll with minced meat and cheese is such a wonderful dish that it is highlighted in color in my recipe journal. Such a meatloaf is prepared in a few minutes. The taste is simply delicious, the ingredients are inexpensive and affordable, and the dish itself can even be served on a festive table. To be honest, this is one of my favorite lifesavers in case of unexpected guests. And pets are often asked to bake a roll. It is only better to cook a double or triple portion at once, so that there is enough for everyone.

Ingredients:

  • minced meat - 350 g
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs.
  • mixture provencal herbs- 1 tbsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp l
  • avash - 1 sheet
  • ketchup or tomato sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
  • hard cheese - 100 g
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • fresh or dried dill - to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Let's prepare the filling. Put fresh or defrosted minced meat in a deep bowl and drive in the eggs. If you take minced pork, then the roll will turn out to be more satisfying. Chicken or beef will make the dish more tender, dietary. We also send salt and a mixture of dry herbs there.
  2. If you like other condiments, you can use them - it's a matter of taste. Knead the contents of the bowl well. We unfold a sheet of pita bread on a flat surface. Lubricate it tomato sauce and mayonnaise. Try not to overdo it with the quantity - the roll will be juicy anyway.
  3. It is convenient to use a silicone brush. Now we lay out the prepared filling. The layer should turn out as in the photo - no more than 1 cm thick. Sprinkle the minced meat with cheese grated on a fine grater. Here already, the more the better. A little tip: if you are preparing a double or triple portion, then stack the pita bread on top of each other.
  4. So it will be convenient to prepare the rolls in turn - you roll one and you can immediately do the next. Wrap the lavash with minced meat so that it is quite dense. We bend the edges inward - in this form it looks neater, and the juice will not flow out of the roll. Grease a dish suitable for baking with vegetable oil. We spread the stuffed pita bread in a circle in the form of a snail.
  5. Softened butter cover the entire surface of the pita bread generously. Thanks to this, an incredibly appetizing crispy and crispy crust forms on the roll. We bake in the oven at a temperature of 220 degrees. After 30-35 minutes, the treat is ready. We get out of oven, sprinkle with dill and, cut, serve. This roll is equally good both hot and cold.

Ingredients:

  • Armenian lavash - 1 piece
  • onion - 1 piece
  • carrots - 1 pc
  • minced meat - 300 g
  • salt and pepper - 1 to taste
  • lettuce leaves - 1 to taste
  • tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • cheese - 150 g
  • mayonnaise - 1 to taste
  • garlic - 3 teeth.
  • greens - 1 to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Finely chop the onion. Grate carrots.
  2. Fry the carrots in vegetable oil with onions for 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced meat and simmer, covered, until cooked for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Squeeze the garlic through a press. Mix with mayonnaise.
  5. Cut the lavash into 3 pieces (if it is large Armenian) or take 3 pieces. Brush 1 piece with garlic mayonnaise. Top with minced meat with carrots and onions.
  6. Finely chop the greens and sprinkle over the minced meat.
  7. Put the second piece of pita bread on the minced meat, grease with mayonnaise. Lay out the lettuce leaves.
  8. Put tomatoes cut into thin slices on lettuce leaves.
  9. Cover with the third piece of pita bread, brush with mayonnaise, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  10. Roll up the pita bread, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  11. Remove from the refrigerator, remove the foil and cut into portions.

Lavash roll with minced meat

A thin (Armenian) lavash roll is a great idea for preparing a spectacular appetizer for a festive table. Today we are going to use minced meat with onions (from beef, pork or a mixture of both) as the filling for the roll. Pre-fry the minced meat for the roll or cook it from boiled meat. We like the second option more - the filling turns out to be more delicate in consistency, as in puff pastry with meat, which our today's roll, by the way, will not be inferior to taste.

Ingredients:

  • 2 or 3 rectangular pita breads according to the desired length of the roll
  • or a dozen thin round pita bread fried in a large skillet
  • 600 g raw meat or minced meat
  • or 400 gr of boiled meat for minced meat
  • 1 large onion
  • vegetable oil for frying meat and onions
  • 150-200 gr of hard or processed cheese
  • salt, ground black pepper
  • 100 gr mayonnaise for spreading pita bread
  • 300 gr champignons
  • or 1-2 fresh tomatoes
  • greens, olives for serving

Cooking method:

  1. Finely chop the onion and pass with a little vegetable oil until transparent.
  2. Boil the meat until tender, remove from the broth, cool and pass through a meat grinder, then combine with browned onions, salt and pepper.
  3. If you have raw minced meat - fry it with onions until soft and knead in a pan with a fork so that there are no lumps.
  4. We lay out lavash on a table top or a cutting board and grease with a thin layer of mayonnaise - for better taste, more juiciness of the roll and so that the lavash itself becomes more plastic for rolling into a roll.
  5. If you are not a fan of mayonnaise mayonnaise - do not grease. If you have small pita breads, the size of which is not enough for folding a large roll, we put them one on top of the other "overlap", and the first layer of pita bread is molded a little wider than the next, so that the roll will roll up conveniently and securely.
  6. Distribute most of the meat filling in an even layer over the first pita bread, not reaching the edges of 2-3 cm. Put the second pita bread on top.
  7. We also grease the second layer of pita bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise, three cheese on top and cover it with a third pita bread, on which, retreating even further from the edges, put the remaining meat filling.
  8. If you want more flavor variety - use all the meat in the first layer, and in the third, instead of minced meat, put fried mushrooms or cut into slices fresh tomatoes and greens.
  9. In the case of tomatoes, the roll should be prepared shortly before serving - long-term storage of the roll with a filling, which includes raw foods, is not allowed for reasons of safety of its use, moreover, tomatoes intensively soak the roll with juice, and lavash can soften to such an extent that problems arise when cutting the roll into portions.
  10. We recommend using fresh vegetables and herbs as a side dish when serving a snack.
  11. We roll up the roll with care, trying not to damage the pita bread, but tight enough.
  12. We put it on the dish in which it is planned to serve it to the table, seam down and put it in a cool place until it is cut into portions, so that the roll is settled and soaked in meat juices. Ready to serve cold.
  13. The roll can also be served as a hot snack - just place it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes before serving. It is logical to sprinkle the roll with grated cheese on top before baking - it will be even more appetizing.
  14. Cut the roll into portions and serve. If the table is festive, decorate with herbs, lettuce, olives, fresh or pickled vegetables or fruits.
  15. Similarly, you can make a roll from minced chicken or use slices of ham instead of minced meat.
  16. In fact, the most important thing when preparing a snack is to properly distribute the filling and successfully roll the roll so that the filling does not spill out.
  17. If you find it difficult to roll a bulky roll, make the roll thinner, of two layers, or roll several small rolls in the form of tubes. This will not affect the taste of the roll.
