Today I want to tell you how you can make an appetizing salad with squid, corn, cucumber, eggs and cheese. The most difficult thing for some is to cook squid correctly, but if you do everything according to the recipe, then it will not be difficult.

Ingredients:

  • squid carcasses - 3 pieces.
  • chicken egg - 3 pieces.
  • fresh cucumber - 1 piece.
  • cheese - 100 grams.
  • canned corn - 1 can.
  • salt to taste.
  • ground black pepper - to taste.
  • mayonnaise to taste.

Slightly defrost the frozen squid carcasses and immerse them in boiling water for two minutes. Then we drain the water and fill the squid with cold water.

After a couple of minutes, carefully peel off the skin with a knife and remove all the insides. Cut the peeled and washed squid into strips and put them in a salad bowl or deep bowl.

Only a dressing can make it more interesting: not standard mayonnaise, but sour cream, to which only a little is added. Greens can also refresh this dish: traditional onion-feathers with dill.

Cheese salad with squid

This is a more interesting option. For him, quickly cooked squids (remember: you cannot cook for a long time, otherwise they will become rubbery) in the amount of half a kilogram are cut into medium-sized strips, and the onion is crumbled into the thinnest half-rings and is poured with boiling water for a quarter of an hour (this will leave excessive bitterness and a characteristic smell). Two hard-boiled eggs are cut into cubes, a few lettuce leaves are torn, a can of corn is opened and decanted. All components are put in a bowl, salad with squid and corn is flavored with salt, pepper and grated cheese (150 grams), and then seasoned with mayonnaise. The dish is now ready to serve.

Shrimp + squid

As you know, seafood combines with each other just perfect. So a salad with squid and corn will only benefit if you add shrimp to it. In what ratio to combine them will depend on which of the seafood you prefer. To get started, try taking one hundred grams of already peeled shrimp for two squid. The onion is also needed in this salad, but it will be tastier if it is simmered first, and in olive oil. And the dish will turn out even more interesting if you introduce an apple into it. Then the sequence of actions will be as follows: cubes of apples are mixed with pieces of shrimp, laid out on the bottom of a salad bowl and lightly smeared with light mayonnaise. A layer of only apples is added on top, then mayonnaise again. After that, corn is laid out and coated with mayonnaise. The last is the layer of their squid with an onion. Squid + crab sticks

I must say that this is such a rather popular salad. Squids, corn, crab sticks are complemented by most cooks with eggs and Chinese cabbage. First, it is she who is processed: it is chopped, salted and wrinkled a little. 150 grams is enough for a fairly large salad bowl. Small cubes of a 100-gram pack of crab sticks, straws of boiled large squid, two chopped eggs, a jar of corn are poured there. Salt, pepper, garlic, mayonnaise and herbs - at the discretion of the chef.

Lean salad with squid and potatoes

As a rule, priests do not consider "sea creatures" as meat, so these products can be eaten on fast days. We bring to your attention a salad with squid and corn suitable for this occasion. Three carcasses of ocean animals are boiled and cut - this time into cubes, like eight boiled potatoes. This is another very successful salad: squid, corn, cucumber and eggs go perfectly with each other. Five pieces of eggs are hard-boiled and chopped. To them is added half a kilo of randomly cut (or into strips, or cubes) squid. Pour in a can of corn strained from the marinade. A couple of fresh cucumbers are chopped into cubes, green onions and dill are chopped. All components are combined, seasoned with mayonnaise and mixed. A delicious light dish is ready.

Squid salad with tomatoes

This is a very interesting and elegant dish! Such a salad with squid and corn, in addition to the main ingredients, also includes a large Bulgarian pepper, two tomatoes and a two-hundred-gram piece of cheese. Boiled carcasses, peppers and even cheese are cut into strips; tomatoes must be peeled and seeds removed and chopped in the same way. A dozen olives or pitted olives are cut into rings. The nuance is that the described salad with squid and corn is already mixed on the table, so when preparing it, it must be artistically folded into a glass bowl. Dressing for it is made from a third of a glass of mayonnaise, a couple of garlic cloves, ground pepper and chopped herbs.

Step 1: prepare the squid.

For the preparation of this wonderful salad, fresh or, as in our case, frozen, already peeled squids without a skin, chord, tentacles, and viscera, such can be purchased in any supermarket or on the market, are suitable. First of all, without unpacking, we put them in a bowl with cold running water and let them thaw.

Step 2: prepare and boil the eggs.


Then, using a kitchen brush, wash the eggs very carefully. This process is necessary because the shell can contain pathogenic microbes that, if ingested, cause serious diseases such as salmonellosis and intestinal poisoning. Then we send the testicles to a saucepan, fill them with cold running water 2-3 fingers higher and put them on high heat. After boiling, reduce its level to medium and cook this ingredient hard-boiled for about 10-11 minutes... Then we transfer it to ice water and cool to room temperature.

Step 3: cook the squid.


While the eggs are cooling, put a deep saucepan half full of purified water on a high heat. Season it with salt to taste and bring to a boil. In the meantime, rinse the thawed squid and after 5-6 minutes put them in the bubbling liquid. Cook seafood 2-3 minutes, but not longer, otherwise they will be as hard as rubber... After the required time, using a slotted spoon, we transfer them to a separate bowl with cold water and cool completely.

Step 4: prepare the onions.


The main ingredients are cooling down, it's time to do other important products. We heat the kettle with purified water. Then, using a kitchen knife, peel the onions, rinse them, dry them with paper kitchen towels, put them on a cutting board and chop them into strips or half rings up to 5 millimeters thick. We shift the slices into a small bowl and after a while pour boiling water from a kettle. We keep the vegetable in this form 2-3 minutes so that most of the bitterness comes out. After that, drain the water and let the onion cool down.

Step 5: prepare the corn and boiled foods.


Then, using a special canned food key, open a jar of sweet sweet corn and put it in a colander. We put it in the sink and leave it there for 5-7 minutes to drain the excess marinade.

Then we clean the boiled eggs from the shell and dip them, as well as squid, with paper kitchen towels. Then put these ingredients in turn on a clean board and chop them into strips or slices 5-6 millimeters thick.

Step 6: prepare the squid and corn salad.


Now we take a deep bowl and put there chopped chicken eggs, boiled squid, onions scalded with boiling water and corn that has already dried out. Season them with mayonnaise, salt and black pepper to taste. Stir everything with a tablespoon until smooth, taste and, if necessary, add more spices. Salad ready! It can be served right away or chilled and served a little later.

Step 7: Serve the squid and corn salad.


Salad with squid and corn is served immediately after cooking or chilled, after an hour of infusion in the refrigerator. It is served in a dish specially designed for this purpose or in portions on plates, if desired, decorating each with twigs, and sometimes just with leaves of fresh herbs, for example, dill, cilantro, parsley.   • frozen squid - 1kg;
  • Dutch or Russian cheese - 200 g;
  • a can of corn;
  • garlic;
  • ground pepper;

  • The squids are thawed, poured with boiling water, washed off the curled skin, removed the remnants of the entrails from the mantle, washed well under the tap.

  • rice - 70 g (you can take any rice. Varieties with long grain and round are suitable. If boiled rice remains from the previous lunch, it is also suitable for salad);
  • vinegar (9%) - 10 ml;
  • water - 200 ml;
  • frozen squids - 1 kg;
  • egg - 3-4 pcs.;
  • greens;
  • ground pepper;
  • mayonnaise;
  • 1 can of corn.

Recipe:

  • The squid is allowed to thaw, poured with boiling water, and the remnants of the skin are washed off. The mantle is checked and the remnants of internal organs and films are removed from it.
  • Carcasses are boiled in salted boiling water for no longer than 1-2 minutes. They are immediately taken out and cooled.
  • If the mantles remain intact, then the squid are cut into thin rings, if not, then into strips.
  • Rice is washed, poured into a saucepan and poured over with water. Water will need about 150 ml. Bring rice to a boil, cook covered for 7-8 minutes. The fire is turned off. Keep the cereal covered for another 7-8 minutes.
  • About a teaspoon of vinegar is diluted in 20-30 ml of water and poured into rice, stirred and cooled.
