Over the weekend, I went from one great meeting to another great meeting, without a camera as much as possible. And I was attacked by such a wonderful place that I started taking pictures with my phone. It turned out awful, but more importantly, they are good themselves - this is gastropub "Moments" on Tatarskaya street 7/1, near Paveletskaya.

Tiny Tatarskaya departs from the huge Zatsepsky rampart and it seems acutely that there can be nothing interesting on such a small street. I decided to go against this thrill - at least I'll see what they are, these are "obviously uninteresting streets."
A hundred meters later, the inscription "Fall in love with moments" looked at me from behind the glass.

Inside, there are wooden tables and a bar counter full of various little things. And I realized that dinner had come yesterday)
The menu is small and variable, reflecting the travels and movements of the gastropub founders. These are the graduates of the culinary school "Ragu" Alexander Burbyga and Katya Plotnikova. (I saw Katya!))

With a sommelier's eye: an interesting bar, an interesting wine list.
Marvelous employees work at the counter, with whom it is very pleasant to consult about what to eat or drink.

The temperature of the wine cabinet is +5, that is, the drinks are slightly supercooled. But time obviously flows smoothly, so that they will have time to warm up and show themselves from different sides.

Some of the dishes on the menu are supplemented by the names and cities of residence of their authors. These are recipes brought from trips, from some distant restaurants in Israel-Denmark-elsewhere.

Here, after all, what does it matter - there are so many feelings of beauty. To some, the recipe seems to be the best souvenir from a distant country, but to others it does not. Someone wants to be at work on a day off and meet friends at their workplace, but to someone it seems evil. Etc. A lot in "Moments" coincided with my sense of beauty (and this is cooler than any single dish).

The staff are amazingly friendly. I couldn't figure out who the waiter is, who is the bartender, who is the chef, who is the manager. But they all approached me with pleasure, took care that I was well. From time to time, one of the visitors-friends came inside, whom they recognized and who were happy.

I melted, talked to my friend at what "s up-e and realized that I could not leave without dessert and coffee.

Phrase of the day: "Let me tell you about desserts. There are two of them and they are both chocolate."
I chose a chocolate fondant. And espresso.
When the bill was brought, it turned out that this dessert is called "Chocolate Retribution"))

And everything was tasty, light, small, combined.
And I felt good (and I came for this - not for food, but so that it was good).

I will also add a drop of soy sauce: I am confused here by pressing for a large order. Everything offered is very, very relevant and thank you. But in order to somehow stay in the budget, you just have to desperately resist.

Graduates of the Ragout culinary school and Katya Plotnikova, together with partners, opened the Moments gastropub at 7 Tatarskaya street, building 1.

The institution started working on the site of the First! Cafe-soup tureen, owned by Alexander. According to him, they did not guess with the narrow format: during the day, too many people came to eat soups, and too few in the evening, so they decided to change the concept. The idea to open a gastropub was invented together with Katya, the premises were redone in two weeks. The cafe is small and has a capacity of about 30 people. Instead of shelves, wine boxes hang on the walls, and in the center of the hall there is a large table for ten people with a massive wooden table top.




Katya Plotnikova (also executive director of the Omnivore Moscow gastronomic festival) is in charge of the kitchen, and this is her first job as a chef. “It's risky, because cooking at home in the kitchen and professionally in a restaurant are completely different things, but we believed in each other,” says Alexander. Katya is assisted by a sous chef and several line chefs. Sous-chef, by the way, used to be the foreman in the Ragout kitchen.

The cuisine at Moments is mixed: there are, for example, Israeli and Scandinavian dishes. The menu includes shakshuka (200 rubles), chicken liver pate with nutmeg wine (250 rubles), beef tenderloin tartare with egg-mustard sauce and red currants (450 rubles), "Lebanese salad" with cucumber, feta cheese, pomegranate, almonds and sumac (300 rubles), "Scandinavian baked potatoes" with shrimp salad (250 rubles) and a herring sandwich in the Danish style (150 rubles).

The café bar is a serious business: Mikhail Slatov, who used to work in the Belka bar, is responsible for all the cocktails. But more emphasis is still placed on wine. Prices for a glass start at 190 rubles.

Breakfasts at Moments are served on weekdays from 9:00, on weekends from 11:00. Lunches for 350 rubles from 12:00 to 16:00.

I got acquainted with this institution three months ago, by accident. I wanted homemade food, Zhenya Vikentiev was just in the city with the From Space to Land set, which I had a chance to evaluate a couple of months before in St. Petersburg in my beloved EM. The Moscow land did not please with its cuisine, so I went to the set. This is where it all started. Just a visit to the set, just a table for 10 people in a small and cozy gastro bar, just a girl at the counter with a glass of Chablis. Fell in love and disappeared for three months))))) But this is not about that, so about the restaurant:
Interior:
The bar counter is the dominant of the establishment, built of bricks, painted white, combined with wood, nice, several tables, a small veranda for 6 seats, right on the street, but oddly cozy. Inside, light bulbs of various sizes descend from everywhere, large windows, in an original way, depending on the intensity of illumination, the perception of the interior also changes. For example, during the first kiss, when the light was dim, the atmosphere was romantic, and after parting, with full illumination, it was festive)

Service:
Either love immediately, or oh well, in fig. Moments employs Dima Borshchev and Dima is a star. An original waiter, jokes on the verge of a fall, sprinkles jokes and quotes, creates a holiday atmosphere, well done in one word.
For a guest who accidentally walks in, this manner of communication may seem too familiar, but on the other hand, holiday people are rare not only in Moscow, but in general. There are also silent bartenders who mix a variety of cocktails and the hostess Katya. Katya is tall, smiling blonde, very kind to her work, interested in the opinions of guests, and cooks well at the same time))
Kitchen:
the menu is not big, snacks, salads, soups, filet mignon, chocolate retribution, shakshuka, delicious bread. What I remember is onion soup, shrimp, shakshuka, cheese cakes, pasta, pasta, artichokes from Italy, wine, shrimp, filet mignon, wine, wine, grappa. This is approximately how a three to four hour dinner goes at the moment)
I can say three phrases about food: the feeling of homemade food, not a single dish, perhaps, except for cheese cakes, is prepared according to classic recipes, everything goes well with wine.

Katya occasionally arranges themed dinners: I was at an Italian dinner last Saturday. Pasta, pasta, prosciutto, assorted snacks: sun-dried tomatoes, olives, artichokes, etc. The beauty of these events is not so much in the kitchen, although the food is good, but in the atmosphere of a crazy holiday. I recommend! Average bill 1000-1200, theme dinners in the 2000 limit.

Summary: A place where you are welcome when you are recognized))) On the other hand, this is an author's restaurant where you can come for a new gastronomic experience, it is original, so you cannot evaluate Moments by my fierce standards))) It's definitely worth a visit, I also recommend UAAAA !
