Marble cake with margarine recipe. Chocolate orange (marbled) muffin

This recipe is from the category "one-two - and you're done." According to the technology, the most important thing is to thoroughly beat the eggs with sugar in order to saturate with air, and it will not be difficult to give the dough some kind of taste. You can stuff such a cake with nuts and raisins, flavor with lemon or alcohol, you can add a variety of spices to your taste. Today I'm going to talk about how to make a marbled cake - the recipe will be based on mixing chocolate and orange dough. In terms of its appearance and the principle of preparation, the cake is very similar to.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken eggs - 4 pcs
  • Granulated sugar - 200 g
  • Flour - 160 g (faceted glass with a slide)
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp
  • Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Hot water (for brewing cocoa) - 150 ml
  • Odorless vegetable oil - 110 ml
  • Large orange - 1 pc (we need zest and 2-3 tablespoons of orange juice)

How to make a marbled cake:

Soak cocoa powder in hot water. Leave for 10-15 minutes to saturate the cocoa with moisture (this way, the chocolate flavor will be more pronounced in the dough).

Beat the eggs with a mixer at high speed.

When the egg foam appears, we begin to pour sugar in a thin stream. Do not stop the mixer - let the sand immediately interfere with the egg mixture, and not settle to the bottom.

Beat eggs with sugar well - the key to an airy, tender cake. Try to saturate the egg-sugar mass with air as much as possible.

Compare the first photo and the one below: the egg mixture has become much lighter, thicker, I can't even believe that there are yolks there. Sometimes there is a feeling that there are only proteins in the bowl, it seems so light.

The power of my mixer is 350 W, I beat at maximum speed for 8-10 minutes to achieve the desired result.

Pour vegetable oil (110 ml) into the dough. We mix.

Mix the flour (160 g) in a separate container. This is a full (with a slide) faceted glass with a volume of 250 ml.

Add baking powder to the dough (1 tsp. With a slide).

Now thoroughly mix the baking powder into the flour. The better we distribute it in the flour mixture, the more homogeneous the dough will be.

Sift the dry mixture again.

Add flour in parts to the main dough. Another sure sign that eggs with sugar are beaten correctly is when the flour does not "sink", but remains on the surface.

Using a spatula, gently lift the dough from bottom to top, stirring in the flour. We do not use the mixer at this stage! We need to keep the air accumulated in the dough so that the dough is fluffy and tender.

Now we divide the dough into two parts. You can distribute the dough by weight, you can make it "by eye".

In one part we add cocoa, which we brewed with water.

In the other, light, part we will add orange juice and zest. Using a fine grater, carefully remove the zest.

Squeeze the juice from the orange slice by hand (2-3 tablespoons of juice).

Add the removed zest. Try to remove only the top layer, because the white "cotton" layer of the orange is very bitter.

Do you love the taste and aroma of orange? You will like it (follow the link to read the recipe).

Lubricate the mold with oil and sprinkle with flour.

The diameter of my mold is 24 cm. This is a special silicone mold for baking muffins. The hole in the middle allows hot air to pass through and bake the cake thoroughly. You can bake this recipe in any shape you like, such as a brick loaf or regular round shape.

First, pour the light dough into the mold.

Then gently spread the dark chocolate dough with a spoon. You can, of course, not be careful, but pour everything out at once. This fact does not really matter, it all depends on whether you want subtle graceful patterns, or agree to a chaotic alternation of black and white layers. I usually spread with a spoon, then pick up a wooden skewer or toothpick and do the streaks by hand to get a beautiful pattern.

The oven must be well preheated before placing the marble cake in the oven. I set it to warm up as soon as I start beating the dough. Set the heating to 175 ° C, and bake at the same temperature too. The chocolate orange muffin is baked for 35-40 minutes depending on the power of your oven. Check the readiness of the baking with a wooden stick, if it comes out of the dough dry - the cake is ready.

Sprinkle the chocolate cake with powdered sugar through a strainer. You will get a smooth, beautiful snow-covered surface on a dark dough. It is better to leave the cake on the wire rack until it cools completely (so that the bottom is in good contact with the air and the cake does not get wet).

The cut of the cake inside is very beautiful: light dough, combining with white, forms either clear patterns, as, for example, in the following photo:

Sometimes thin and graceful stains, as in the photo below. Each piece of marbled cake is a surprise. It's always interesting for me to cut open and see what happened inside.

On the palate, the orange and chocolate layers complement each other perfectly. Chocolate and orange are generally classics, such a combination cannot be a losing one.

I wish you, too, to taste this cupcake sooner! I think that the cake recipe will take root in your cookbook and will be repeated "for an encore" at the request of the household!

The delicious marbled cake is a delicious interpretation of the popular Zebra cake, which is usually made with sour cream. Only the recipe suggested here is somewhat different. We will knead the dough based on milk and butter. But believe me: the baked goods will turn out to be no less tasty, tender, crumbly. It is quite simple to achieve an original pattern that resembles the stone of the same name. To do this, you need to prepare the dough, divide it into 2 parts and add cocoa powder to one of them. That, in fact, is the whole secret. It remains only to alternate vanilla and chocolate compositions. In the thickness of the dough, they will be amazingly intertwined with each other, creating an exquisite pattern.

Cooking time - 45 minutes.

Ingredients

To bake a marble cake, we do not need to look for products in the supermarket for a long time and spend fabulous money on them. You can find a complete list of ingredients just below:

  • pasteurized milk - 100 ml;
  • butter - 140 g;
  • large chicken egg - 3 pcs.;
  • high-quality flour - 200 g;
  • granulated sugar - 150 g;
  • cocoa powder - 20 g;
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tbsp l .;
  • baking powder for dough - 1.5 tsp.

How to bake marble cake in the oven

The technology for making a marble cake is simple and straightforward. The main thing is to grasp the essence, and kneading the dough will not be difficult for you.

  1. Immediately send butter, softened and cut into small cubes, into a deep bowl for kneading the dough. Pour ordinary sugar into it. Thoroughly grind the products together. Break fresh large chicken eggs here.

  1. Heat pasteurized milk slightly. But you don't need to boil! The liquid should be like fresh milk. Pour it into the composition in a thin stream. Mix everything thoroughly.

  1. Mix wheat flour with baking powder. Sift dry mixture. Introduce it into the dough in small portions, thoroughly mixing the composition after adding each new batch of flour.

  1. Divide the resulting dough into 2 parts. Let them be approximately equal in volume. Pour cocoa powder into one batch and mix thoroughly so that the chocolate composition becomes homogeneous. Add vanilla sugar to the second part. Mix this batch of dough thoroughly.

  1. Now you need to prepare the cake pan. Smear it well with butter. Put vanilla and chocolate dough alternately in the prepared form. Shake the container slightly, but not too vigorously. You can scroll the mold on the table several times so that the dough settles evenly. Send the marble cake to the oven preheated to 190 degrees. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Check the baking readiness with a skewer or a match.

Note! Some hostesses sometimes draw a pattern right in the thickness of the raw dough with a knife or skewer. Then the drawing of the finished cake turns out to be even more original and expressive.

Cupcake "Marble" recipe with photo step by step at home

How to make a cupcake "Marble"

  1. Mix the softened bar of butter with granulated sugar and knead carefully with a fork, combining the components into a single mass.
  2. Add all the eggs at once, stir.
  3. Sift the flour combined with baking powder and vanilla in portions to the butter mass, stirring the mixture thoroughly each time.
  4. We seek to obtain a viscous, fairly thick dough.
  5. Pour in milk.
  6. Stir the mass until smooth.
  7. Divide the dough in half, sift the cocoa powder into one part. Stir diligently, achieving uniform dyeing of the mass in a dark color.
  8. Rub the bottom and sides of the cake pan with a small piece of butter (in our example, we used a rectangular silicone container measuring 23x13 cm). We form a marble cake: lay out half of the light dough with the bottom layer.
  9. Distribute ½ part of the dark mass on top. Next, repeat the layers.
  10. Using a wooden skewer or a knife blade, we make several undulating movements in the dough. This will help to slightly blend the contrasting layers, so that the finished cake will have a marbled pattern in the cut.
  11. We put the form in an oven preheated to 170 degrees. Bake the marble cake for about 40-50 minutes (times may vary for each oven). We check the readiness with a wooden skewer, deeply immersing it in the crumb. If the stick remains clean, without traces of raw dough, remove the pastry from the oven. A crack will appear on the surface of the cake - this is quite normal!
  12. Cut the pastry into small pieces and serve.

Cupcake "Marble" is ready! Bon Appetit!
