I suggest making a cake with poppy seeds and walnuts, soaked curd cream! There is not a single gram of oil in the recipe, so it is not very high in calories.

First of all, we prepare the poppy and walnuts... Grind the peeled walnuts in a blender. We wash the poppy in warm water.


then pour clean water, bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you add unboiled poppy seeds to the cake, then it will be less aromatic, dry and unpleasantly crunchy on the teeth.


Now we transfer the poppy seeds to a fine sieve and let the water drain. After that, I still blot the poppy with a disposable cloth towel.

Now we begin to prepare the dough for the cakes. Grind the sugar and eggs in a deep bowl.


Add 220g sour cream, 2 heaped tablespoons of starch, slaked soda, sifted flour and mix well.


Then we divide the resulting dough into two equal parts. Pour walnuts into one of the parts and mix again. Grease the bottom of the multicooker with butter, put the dough in it and put it on the Baking mode for 25 minutes.


When the cake has cooled down a little, we take it out of the multicooker.

Mix in boiled poppy seeds in the second part of the dough. And bake the second cake in the same way.


While the cakes are baking, prepare the curd cream. To do this, mix cottage cheese, 80g sour cream and powdered sugar. To make the cream, I buy pureed soft cottage cheese. If the cream seems a little dry, you can add more sour cream or a little milk. Be sure to try the cream after stirring. You may want to add more powdered sugar.


When both cakes are ready, cut each of them into two parts.

Pour the dough into greased vegetable oil and a baking dish sprinkled with flour or semolina, flatten. Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees until golden brown. Check readiness with a wooden stick.

Cool the finished cake slightly, then cut into 3-4 thin layers.

For cream, soft cottage cheese, natural yoghurt and beat the icing sugar into a homogeneous mass.

Add lemon zest, mix.

Smear the cakes, cake top and sides with cream. Put the cake in the refrigerator overnight.

Poppy seed cake with curd cream is ready. Before serving, you can decorate it at your discretion.

I don't know if these are on sale today. I got mine from my grandmother, as well as the recipe. First, knead the dough. There are no subtleties here. Pour flour, sugar, salt, diced margarine into a bowl, drive in eggs. In a separate container, extinguish the soda with vinegar and also add to the rest of the ingredients. First, you can knead the margarine with a fork, slowly stirring everything. If you have a mixer with a dough attachment, you can knead with a mixer. When the efficiency of the mixer or the fork is exhausted, then you still have to put the dough on the table and work with your hands :) After kneading, the dough should be put in the refrigerator for about an hour and a half. In the meantime, you can make a cream. Put condensed milk, butter and walnuts in a bowl. I got a problem with walnuts :) I recently bought myself a very convenient grater for solid foods. And I just decided to give it a try. The grater is a miracle, I can't say anything, it is gorgeous. Something very similar to small sawdust remained from the walnut :) I still had to use the old grandfather's method and beat the nuts with a rolling pin. Of course, I also threw the shavings into the cream, all the same, it won't go anywhere else to me. For sure now. Stir the cream well, and put it in the refrigerator too. In the remaining time, we are mentally preparing to smell the smell of burnt oil and wash the stove :) So, we get the dough out of the refrigerator and make small pieces. You need to make a lot of balls out of the dough, or something similar to them, with a diameter of about 1.5 centimeters. You can make them during the frying process, but for a start it is still better to prepare a certain amount. We put the pan on the fire and put our dough into the cells. Close and fry for about 1.5-2 minutes. Remove the frying pan, shake out the halves of the nuts into a plate and put the dough again. And so on until the dough runs out. When everything is fried, it is better to wait a little while our cookies cool. Break off the extra edges and fill the halves with cream, and join in two. Put on a plate and decorate with powdered sugar. "Voila!" - and our "Nuts" are ready. We quickly hide a few pieces for ourselves, until the family swooped in and ate it all along with a plate. We need:

  • flour - 200 gr
  • butter - 100 gr
  • sugar - 50 gr
  • egg - 1 pc
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • vanilla sugar - 10 g, or vanillin on the tip of a knife

For filling:

  • cottage cheese - 700 gr
  • poppy seeds - 100 - 120 gr (1 sachet)
  • sugar - 180-200 gr
  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • starch - 3 tbsp. flat spoons

For decoration:

  • chocolate icing - 1 sachet
  • milk - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • apricot - 1 piece
  • plum - 1 piece
  • chocolate - 2 pieces
  • any nuts - 1 tablespoon
  • icing sugar - 2 tsp
  • mint - 5-6 leaves

Preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the poppy and leave to infuse with the lid closed for 20 minutes.



2. Meanwhile, knead the dough. Butter melt in a water bath, or get it in advance so that it becomes soft when room temperature... Try to use 82.5% oil, this oil is healthier and does not contain trans fats.

3. Add the egg, stir until smooth.


4. Add sugar and stir well again.


5. Add baking powder.

6. Then flour. To stir thoroughly. Then knead the dough right in a bowl. The dough will turn out to be a little fatty, but that's the way it should be.


7. Leave the dough to lie down for a while so that all the ingredients in it are dispersed.


8. Prepare the form. I will bake a split cake. It will be easier to get it out of this form later. Line the bottom of the mold baking paper... For this I needed to cut out a circle. It is not necessary to lubricate it with oil, there is already sufficient oil in the dough.

9. Put the dough in the center of the mold and use your palms and fingers to make a piece with sides. Make the height of the sides about 5 cm. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the dough in the form. But I have another photo with the same blank. I once baked a similar cake.


10. Put the mold with the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

11. In the meantime, let's prepare the filling. My cottage cheese is very grainy, and therefore I punch it well with a blender. The fat content of the curd can be selected as you wish.


12. Add to curd potato starch and eggs. Mix the filling well.


13. Put the poppy seeds in a fine sieve to glass all the liquid. Then add it to the filling. Mix.


14. Take the cooled mold with the dough out of the refrigerator and put the filling in it. Shake lightly to distribute the filling evenly.

15. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake for 50-60 minutes until tender.

If, after a while, the top of the cake starts to redden too much, cover it with a piece of foil.

16. The readiness of the cake can be determined by piercing it with a toothpick. If she doesn't have batter, then the cake is ready. I got one barrel baked harder than the other. But when pierced with a toothpick, both surfaces are ready. And the fact that a different color does not matter, it will be covered with glaze.


17. Take the finished cake out of the oven and let it cool completely. Then we take it out of the mold and put it on a dish or large plate.

18. The fun begins - cake decorating. Turn on your imagination and decorate it with what you have, and the way you want. I'll just tell you how I did it.

Decorating the cake with fruits, icing and chocolate

  • I wanted to decorate the cake with chocolate icing. Moreover, I had a bag of icing that can be prepared in a matter of minutes. To do this, I warmed two tablespoons of milk and poured the contents of the bag into it, and then stirred. That's all, I have the icing ready!


  • now the question arose of how to decorate. The thing is, I didn't plan to bake the cake. But the granddaughter came to visit, it was necessary to prepare a treat. She is sweet to me. Therefore, I had to scrape through the barns and bottom sections.
  • in the barns were found plums, apricots, two chocolate candies- truffles. One was immediately taken by the granddaughter. Nothing is enough for one. I picked a mint in the garden. And I always have powdered sugar and walnuts at the ready. Moreover, with finished cake we cut off the protruding edges of the cake and made crumbs out of them. They will also be used.
  • Spread the icing in a thin layer over the entire top surface of the cake.

We finished it the next morning. He stood in the refrigerator all night. And you know, surprisingly, it has become even tastier. Therefore, the pleasure was really doubled.

I want to tell you one more interesting thing. If you don’t want to cook a cake, or you simply don’t have time to decorate, then prepare a poppy-curd cake on the same basis.

Pie with cottage cheese and poppy seeds - three cooking options

You can take the same amount of ingredients. And if you bake the cake with a smaller volume, then the fillings can be made smaller. For comparison, I will write that I used a cake mold with a diameter of 24 cm.

We need:

Prepare the dough from the same amount of ingredients.

The quantitative composition of the filling can be reduced. And then we take for her:

  • cottage cheese - 500 gr
  • poppy - 100-120 gr
  • sugar - 150 gr
  • egg - 2 pieces
  • starch -2 tbsp. spoons

Since we are baking a cake, only crumbs from the cakes can be used for decoration. Or buy a cookie in advance and make a crumb out of it.

Preparation:

  • The dough is prepared in the same way as for the cake. But the filling is prepared differently. But only if you want to make the cake in layers, as is done. In this case, after you have prepared the filling, it must be divided into two unequal parts. One part should be smaller and the other larger. This is necessary so that when added to a smaller part of the poppy, both parts are leveled.
  • Both parts of the filling should be the same consistency. If suddenly one of the parts turns out to be thicker, then add one or two tablespoons of sour cream to it.
  • There is also a difference in how to distribute the filling in the form with the dough. Once it is made in the form of a zebra, then it is laid out in the same way. A spoonful of cottage cheese with poppy seeds, a spoon without poppy seeds, and so we alternate until the very end.


  • So we bake. The finished cake looks very nice. I took a photo from the Internet to show you.


  • There is another option. First, lay out the filling with poppy seeds, then without poppy seeds. And then the cake will turn out to be two-layer. Which also looks very pretty!


  • And finally, the third option, when all the filling is mixed with the poppy seeds, and everything is laid out in the mold. That is, according to this option, we prepared our cake today.
