And most importantly, the tincture is easy to prepare. In this case, you need to carefully select the berries on which the moonshine will be infused.

Visual assessment

The berry, which will produce a high-quality alcoholic drink, must be ripe and poured with juice.

By the way, it doesn't matter if the berries are fresh, frozen or dried. This does not in any way reduce the quality indicators of the tincture.

Berries must be:

  • strong and whole;
  • have no visible damage to the skin;
  • not be covered with mold;
  • without rot and unpleasant odor.

Preliminary preparation of berries

Having decided on the choice and buying required amount blueberries, first wash the berries under cool running water. After making sure that the fruits are clean, without the slightest hint of dirt, sand and dust, spread the raw materials on a dry horizontal surface. Cover the blueberries with a clean towel. The canvas will help to dry the berries faster by absorbing water.

Pre-frozen berries go through a different preparation procedure:

  • free the berries from ice;
  • defrost at room temperature;
  • drain the resulting water.

Try not to damage the fruit during manipulations. Otherwise, the tincture will turn out to be cloudy, and it will be difficult to ideally strain and filter the drink.

Time required for infusing an alcoholic beverage

Infusion is the process by which essential oils, the active substances of blueberries are converted into alcohol. The average preparation time for the tincture is three weeks. To make the drink more aromatic and rich, soak for up to 45 days. There are, of course, longer cooking times, up to a maximum of six months.

The temperature of the air in the room also affects the infusion time. The cooler it is in the room where the vessel with the tincture is, the longer the alcoholic beverage is aged.

Remember! During infusion, do not open the container with the drink.

The first time they taste the tincture only after two weeks of waiting. And earlier, it makes no sense to touch the drink, especially since microorganisms can get into it and settle on the berries, which will subsequently begin to rot and spoil the alcoholic product.

You can judge the readiness of the drink by the color of the liquid. The drink should acquire a uniform, rich burgundy color. The color of the berries and moonshine should be completely the same.

Blueberry tinctures have medicinal properties. The berry has a beneficial effect on vision, therefore it is called "eye". Blueberry infusions are able to fight angina, pharyngitis, rheumatism. They help well with colds, effectively relieving symptoms.

At the same time, there are contraindications for the use of this drink. The tincture should not be used for kidney diseases, pancreas, allergies to some components.

A single dose of tincture for medical purposes is one tablespoon. As a drink, blueberry liqueur is served with meat, meat and cheese cuts. Sweet liqueur is an excellent aperitif.

To prepare homemade alcohol or vodka tincture, blueberries should be carefully selected. Only those that are fully ripe and do not have any mold or rot will do. You can also use the blueberries that have been frozen or dried, there is no need to take only fresh for the drink.

If you use just such previously frozen blueberries, then before directly infusing them, you must completely defrost them and make sure that all the water is glass. If this is not done, then the drink resulting from insisting on alcohol will be greatly diluted, and an unpleasant aftertaste may also appear.

Dried blueberries should be used in half the amount required by the original recipe.

It is also impossible to crush it - the tincture will turn out to be cloudy, while it will take a lot of effort to filter it to an acceptable result - and even then a good result may not be achieved.

Alcohol (40-50 degrees), vodka and cheap cognacs are suitable as optimal alcoholic bases. It is also good to use moonshine, which must be thoroughly cleaned.

Classic blueberry tincture

The classic blueberry liqueur is very simple to prepare, and its recipe includes only two ingredients:

  • berries - 350 gr;
  • alcohol base - 500 ml.

Well washed blueberries are poured into a jar and poured with vodka, alcohol or moonshine. In this form, the future tincture spends two weeks or a little more in a dark place that supports room temperature... At least once every four days, it should be shaken, but it is better to do it more carefully so that the berries do not burst and do not muddy the drink.

The result of this preparation will have a pleasant sweet and sour taste (the sweeter the more ripe the blueberries are).

There is another recipe for a blueberry drink with alcohol or
moonshine, which can rightfully be called classic. It includes the following ingredients:

  • berries that can fill the volume by 2/3 of the intended container with a drink;
  • vodka or moonshine for the rest 1/3.

Pour blueberries into a jar, pour alcohol and close the lid tightly. Then the future drink is left in the sun for 90 days or a little less, so that direct rays of light fall on it. It should be shaken at least once every five days, but again, it is important for the one who does this not to overdo it and not damage the berries. Then the resulting tincture is filtered and removed to a cool, dark place, where the container into which it is poured is left slightly tilted.

Sweet blueberry liqueur

The recipe for sweet blueberry liqueur made with moonshine or alcohol includes the following ingredients:

  • vodka, alcohol (40-50%) or moonshine - 1 liter;
  • berries - 1.5 kg;
  • sugar - 250 gr;
  • water - 250 ml.

Blueberries and sugar are poured into the jar, which are poured with moonshine or other alcohol and water. Everything is mixed, then the jar is carefully corked and left for a month so that direct sunlight falls on it. Shake the contents of the jar at least once every five days - this will help the ingredients mix and dissolve better. The result is filtered with cotton wool and gauze.

Strawberry blueberry liqueur

The recipe for strawberry-blueberry liqueur is very simple, but at the same time
can give an extremely interesting flavoring result.

Ingredients:

  • strawberries - 500 gr;
  • blueberries - 500 gr;
  • sugar - 200 gr;
  • alcohol - 600 ml;
  • water - 300 ml.

After preparation, the berries are laid out in a jar and sprinkled with sugar. So they are left overnight to give juice. The next day, alcohol and water are added to them, and everything is thoroughly mixed. If you need to get a stronger result, you can only use alcohol in full. The jar is removed in a cool place for twenty-five to thirty days, during which it should be shaken regularly. After the expiration of the period, the result is filtered. It is recommended to do this twice - with a strainer and using gauze - and then let the tincture rest for several days. It should be drunk chilled.

This recipe can also be supplemented or modified with raspberries or currants replacing strawberries or found in equal proportions with her. Fresh raspberries and currants can be served with a ready-made drink.
