  • Shell pasta - 13-15 pcs .;
  • Minced meat - 300 g;
  • Onions - 1 pc.;
  • Garlic - 2 cloves;
  • Tomato juice - 300 ml;

How to cook stuffed shell pasta with minced meat

You can take any minced meat - chicken, pork, pork and beef. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper to taste, you can also add your favorite spices - basil, oregano, ground paprika. Place the minced meat in a skillet and grill over medium heat until tender. You need to stir often so that the minced meat does not turn into one large cutlet, but remains crumbly.

Transfer the prepared minced meat to a deep bowl. Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater and divide into two unequal parts. Add most of the cheese to the sautéed minced meat and stir well. For juiciness, you can also add one egg.

The mass should be as homogeneous as possible. It will be better if you mix the filling while the minced meat is still hot, then the cheese will melt right away.

Boil pasta "shells" until half cooked. Usually the manufacturer gives instructions for cooking on the packaging, but I advise you to cook one in a simple way- put the pasta in boiling salted water, bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir the pasta, cover the pan and let sit for 10 minutes. From time to time, you can stir the pasta so that it does not stick together, but if the pasta is made from hard varieties, then it certainly will not stick together during such cooking. Then put the pasta in a colander, cool a little. Fill each shell with prepared meat and cheese filling.

Prepare the tomato sauce. To do this, finely chop the onion and garlic. Send them to a skillet and sauté over medium heat until transparent.

Then pour in tomato juice, add a little salt and simmer until thickened (about 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the juice). If the tomato juice is very sour, then you can add 1 tbsp. Sahara.

Brush the bottom of a baking dish with about half the tomato sauce. This will make the dish more juicy and prevent the shells from burning.

Place all the stuffed shells tightly together.

Pour the rest on top tomato sauce... Please note that there should be a lot of sauce so that the finished dish has a bright, rich taste and an even richer aroma.

Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese over the dish.

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and send the mold into it for 20-30 minutes. The cheese will melt and form a beautiful, appetizing crust, under which a whole mass of flavors are hidden - from delicate meat filling to bright tomato sauce.

Serve the stuffed shell pasta in the same mold as it was cooked or transfer to a serving platter. Most delicious dish will be hot, so call everyone to the table right after cooking.

In total, this dish will take no more than an hour to cook. The result is a hearty, nutritious and delicious hot dinner for the whole family.
