How to cook stewed cabbage in a slow cooker

Peel the medium-sized onion (2 pcs.), Wash and cut into cubes. Medium-sized carrots (3 pieces) wash, peel, rub. We put vegetables in a cauldron with meat. Fry everything until the onion is soft. Then we add there too tomato paste(3 tbsp. L), spices, bay leaf (2 leaves), salt to taste and pour in 0.5 cups of purified water. We are waiting for the contents in the cauldron to boil, we turn down the heat. Simmer for 15 minutes.

While the meat is being cooked, chop small cabbage forks (1 pc.) With a special knife. A vegetable can be cut with a simple knife, but using a cabbage shredder (sold in specialized stores), the dish will acquire a more delicate consistency. Then pour the cabbage into the cauldron and mix with the meat. Add a little salt to the dish again. Cover the contents with a lid and simmer again over low heat for 30 minutes. We cook this dish with potatoes. Wash two turkey thighs and cut them into pieces. Pour refined vegetable oil (5-6 tbsp. L) into a cauldron (duckling is also suitable). We heat it in a cauldron and put our hips there. Fry.

While the meat is fried, peel 1 onion and cut it into very small cubes, pour it into a cauldron with meat. Peel and rub the carrots (1 pc.). Add to the cauldron. Fry the meat and vegetables again. Then we reduce the heat to a minimum. We take two red bell peppers, remove the seeds from them, cut each into three parts and put them on the meat. Salt and pepper to taste.

Peel medium-sized potatoes (8-10 pcs.), Cut each into three parts. We put them in a cauldron on top of meat and vegetables. Salt and pepper this layer and add 2 bay leaves. Disassemble the cauliflower (500 g), wash and put on top of the potatoes.

Cover the top with cabbage 3 tbsp. l. tomato paste or add chopped tomatoes (3 pcs.). Pepper, salt and sprinkle with grated cheese (50 g) on ​​top. 7. When the meat has become light on all sides, add chopped carrots and a tablespoon to the pan. Pour 150 ml of boiling water into the pan and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer meat with carrots over low heat for 5 minutes.


8. After 5 minutes add chopped cabbage to the meat with carrots and salt it.


9. If suddenly all the ingredients do not fit into your pan (and this is what happened to our dish during cooking - oops!) - it's okay! Simply transfer the dish from the skillet to a larger container, such as a saucepan.


10. Cover the cabbage with a lid and simmer over low heat for half an hour. After 30 minutes, a light summer meal rich in fiber and protein awaits you.
