Ready strawberry pie in a slow cooker carefully remove from the bowl and let cool completely.

A very simple recipe open pie with fresh strawberries. There is no need to sculpt anything - they kneaded the dough, put it in a mold, spread the berries over it. All, bake.

Ingredients for the fresh strawberry pie:

  • one and a half glasses of flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • 6 tbsp. tablespoons unsalted softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • zest of one lemon
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cups milk
  • 450 gr strawberries

Method for making an open pie

Heat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a 25 cm springform cake tin with butter and flour.


In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and vanillin. Beat butter with sugar (set aside two tablespoons of sugar to sprinkle on strawberries). Pour the zest into the butter and pour in lemon juice... You should get a pale air mass. Add egg, milk, beat until smooth.

Pour flour evenly, knead not too thick dough. If it is too thick, add an extra tablespoon or two of milk.

Transfer the dough to the prepared mold, flatten it with a spatula. Lay the strawberries on top, cut side down. Place the berries as close to each other as possible. Sprinkle the remaining granulated sugar on the strawberries.

Place the baking dish on the medium wire rack and bake the fresh strawberry pie for ten minutes. Reduce the temperature in the oven to 160 degrees, bake for another 50 minutes.

Serve the open pie with fresh strawberries warm with tea, coffee. It turns out very tasty if the cooled cake is served with ice cream or whipped cream.
