From the grated raw material, a homogeneous, thick jam with amber color, irreplaceable for filling in pies, pancakes, any sweet pastries. You can use another cut: thin slices, cubes, large pieces.

Product ratio:

  • apples - 1 kg;
  • sugar - 200 g;
  • spices to taste: cinnamon, vanilla, cloves.

The classic combination of flavors: apples + cinnamon, not everyone likes or may get bored. It is worth trying to add new flavors to the jam using seasonings and spices. A good shade of taste will add lemon or orange zest to the dessert.

Cooking process:

  1. 1. The fruits crushed by any method are placed in a cooking vessel, covered with sugar and left for several hours to soak. If there is not enough time for this, then you can start heating immediately, but a small amount of water will need to be poured into the workpiece so that the sugar begins to melt and does not burn.

  • sugar - from 250 to 500 g (depending on the sweetness of the fruit);
  • drinking water - 250 ml;
  • soda - 2 tablespoons;
  • vanillin or cinnamon.

Pour the apple slices with water and soda and leave for several hours. This technique helps to keep the records intact. If there is a lack of time, this stage is skipped.

Further preparation:

  2. 2. The fruit slices are washed from the soda solution and placed in a saucepan or basin.

If you follow strictly according to the recipe, then the slices will remain intact, and the syrup will be thick and transparent. For storage of blanks, be sure to choose a dark place.

Recipe "Five minutes" with lemon

For a citrus aroma and a pleasant aftertaste, lemon is added to the recipe. The ratio of foods will change slightly, you just need to increase the amount of sugar to compensate for the additional acid.

The sequence of work step by step:

  1. 1. Chopped fruits should be covered with sugar for 2 hours.
  2. 2. Citrus may not be peeled, but be sure to remove all the seeds. It is enough to take half a lemon for 2 kg of apples and cut it into slices.
  3. 3. Cooking utensils with fruits are put on a small fire and lemon is added. Stirring, achieve complete dissolution of sugar and bring the mass to a boil.
  4. 4. Cook for 5 minutes and remove the dishes from the heat until they cool completely. You can leave the fruit to soak for several hours.

After cooling down, the cooking process is repeated for the last time and the dessert is spread hot on the prepared jars. There will be three heating cycles in total. The workpieces are hermetically tightened with sterile lids and covered with a dense cloth for slow cooling.

Three-stage cooking is also used for making jam in a multicooker. Having placed the products according to the selected recipe, the workpiece is boiled 3 times for 5 minutes in the "quenching" mode with stops for 6 hours for settling and cooling. After the third cycle, the jam is packaged.

Quick jam with berries

When berries are added, the jam acquires color, the taste becomes more interesting, but the heat treatment time slightly increases. The product tab is also changing:

  • 1 kg of chopped fruit;
  • 1.5 kg of granulated sugar;
  • 0.5 kg of berries: blackberries, currants or mountain ash.

Before cooking, the berries are prepared: they are sorted, washed and dried. The apples are peeled and cut into pieces. Then the process looks like this:

  1. 1. Berries are poured with half of the sugar and defended until the juice is released.
  2. 2. Boil the syrup from water and sugar residues, after dissolving the grains, boil it for several minutes.
  3. 3. Apples are placed in boiling syrup and blanched in it for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Without removing from the heat, the released berry juice is poured into the blank and boiled for another 5–6 minutes.

The total heat treatment time for the jam will be a quarter of an hour. Depending on the added berries, the jam will acquire its characteristic color and aroma.

Apples with ginger and almonds

Ginger will add a spicy pungency to the dessert and make the treat even more useful. Nuts and lemon zest complement the delicious ensemble and turn ordinary jam into a delicious dessert.

Required Ingredients:

  • apples - 2 kg;
  • sugar - 2 kg;
  • water - 250 ml;
  • zest with 3 medium lemons;
  • peeled almonds or any other nuts;
  • fresh ginger root.

The number of nuts is chosen arbitrarily, and ginger is taken depending on the desired pungency of the dish. The fruits are prepared in the standard way, the ginger is grated on a fine grater, the nuts are fried in a dry frying pan.

Cooking process:

Cover the apple slices with granulated sugar. Calculate as follows: 1 standard glass of sand for 1 kg of chopped apples. Do not suffer from accurate weighing and measurement, it is better to add more sand than less. Stir until the sugar is evenly distributed.

Next, a saucepan or large container with candied apples must stand for about 10 hours. You can 8, you can 12 or a little more - it doesn't matter. In the end, it is important to wait for the apples to release the juice. The liquid will be about 1/3 of the entire harvested mass. Better to put the pot in the refrigerator overnight.

We take the apples out of the refrigerator, mix well. We set to cook. A five-minute apple is cooked for 5-8 minutes. It boils, and not just keeps on fire!

In the middle of the cooking process, add to apple jam ground cinnamon... For 1 kg of apples, take half a teaspoon. I safely put 1 large spoon on a large 5 liter pan. Cinnamon enhances the taste of apples and gives the jam a pleasant dessert aroma.

While the apple jam is boiling and cooking, put the kettle on, prepare the jam jars. Jars should be sterilized before spilling the jam. Very convenient to sterilize on a tea spout. The water is boiling, the can is sterilized. So it is with the lid.

The boiling five-minute is distributed among the banks, rolled up with a key under the lid. Do it quickly! You can connect the strong half.
