1 ~ 1.5kg Chinese cabbage or white cabbage

FILLING

500g sour cream, 1 ~ 2 tablespoons tomato paste, ~ 0.5 tsp of salt, pepper, if desired - 1 ~ 2 cloves of garlic

Cut the cabbage into small cubes.




Place in a saucepan and pour enough water to cover the cabbage.




Add salt - 0.5 to 1 teaspoon.
Bring to a boil and cook over low heat with the lid ajar until almost cooked. The cabbage should not soften completely. The cooking time depends on the variety of cabbage - Peking cabbage or young white cabbage is cooked for 10 minutes, winter varieties - up to 30 minutes. The lid of the pan should be slightly open, otherwise the cabbage may acquire an unpleasant "suffocated" odor.
Thoroughly drain the cabbage from the finished cabbage and place it in a small deep baking sheet.
Pour the filling over the cabbage so that there are no gaps.




Fill
Mix sour cream with tomato paste or ketchup, salt and pepper. If desired, press-pressed garlic can be added for flavor.
The filling should turn out to be the thickness of kefir. If the fill is too thick, then dilute it with water.

For cooking you need:

  • cauliflower - 500 g
  • minced chicken meat - 350 g
  • hard cheese- 100 g
  • sour cream or mayonnaise - 100 ml
  • mold oil
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs.

We clean the cauliflower from the leaves, disassemble it into inflorescences, wash it and throw it into boiling water, cook for 5-7 minutes, drain the water and cool.

Important! We throw cabbage into boiling water and cook for no more than 7 minutes, otherwise it will boil down and will be like cotton wool!


While the cabbage is boiling, prepare the filling: beat the eggs with a fork


Then we add spices, minced chicken and salt and mix thoroughly.


Grease the baking dish with oil (I use olive oil).


We put the finished filling into the mold just like that, or form a shape from the filling for the holiday.

We decorate the minced meat with cabbage inflorescences with roots in the filling (see the photo below)


We rub the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle our creation, evenly distributing the cheese over the entire area. Top can be anointed with sour cream or mayonnaise.

For cooking you need:

The dish that I want to bring to your attention is quite simple to prepare and not expensive.

Cauliflower can be taken frozen, if not fresh. It is not necessary to defrost it beforehand, because it will cook.

Take sour cream of any fat content. To reduce calories, you can take thick yogurt.

With regards to cheese, here take whatever you like. I like mozzarella.

Baked cauliflower with sour cream can be served as independent dish or as a side dish. It tastes good both warm and chilled.

To cook cauliflower with sour cream in the oven, we will prepare the products according to the list.

Divide the cauliflower into inflorescences, fill it with water and cook for three minutes from the moment it boils.

You can cook for longer, until soft. I prefer it to stay firm enough.

While the cabbage is boiling, we do not waste time.

Beat the egg lightly with salt, pepper and finely grated nutmeg. If you don't have regular nutmeg, use ground nutmeg to taste. Usually 0.5 tsp is enough.

We put the cauliflower in a preheated oven. We bake for ten minutes. Then we turn on the grill function and cook for another five minutes until golden brown.

We wash the parsley, dill or cilantro well, dry it, chop it finely and put it in a cup.

We take out the finished dish from oven and leave it alone for ten minutes (to cool down a little). Then sprinkle with chopped herbs, serve as a separate dish or add your favorite side dish.
