Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

First, let's start preparing pita bread. We release our test ingredient from the packaging and place it on the table. Then, using a tablespoon, we apply a uniform layer of mayonnaise on the surface of the pita bread and leave it in this state to soak for a while.
Next, take a piece of cheese, put it on a cutting board and use a knife to cut it into slices of arbitrary shape and thickness. If you have a large piece, then 3 slices will be enough, and if your initial piece size is small, then calculate in such a way as to cover the entire middle of the pita with this ingredient. Put the resulting slices on a layer of mayonnaise and move on to the ham.
WITH meat ingredient remove the film and transfer it to a cutting board. In order to make it more convenient to roll the pita bread into a roll in the future, we will cut the ham into the thinnest possible slices, in the amount of 4 pieces, and put them on a layer of cheese. Close the ham on top, again with chopped cheese and you can start forming the roll.

Step 2: form a roll.

To prevent the cheese from leaking out during frying, it is necessary to properly wrap the pita bread in a roll. To do this, starting from the bottom edge, we roll up our pita bread to the middle into a roll. Then, we bend the two lateral sides inward towards each other. And holding them with our hand, we continue to spin the pita bread. Thus, we get a kind of envelope. Once we have coped with this task, we move on to the next stage of preparation.

Step 3: fry a pita roll with ham and cheese.

We turn on the temperature of the stove to the middle level. Pour some olive oil into the pan and put on the burner. After the oil in the pan has warmed up enough, put our twisted pita bread into it. First fry the roll on one side until a beautiful golden brown, then using a kitchen spatula, gently turn it over to the other side and fry the other side. This process will take you no more 6 minutes... Transfer the finished roll to a plate.

Step 4: serve pita roll with ham and cheese.

This dish It can be eaten both hot and chilled, while for greater convenience it can be cut in half and served with any drink. And if you cut it into small rolls and beautifully decorate them with greens, you get delicious snack to any festive table. Enjoy cooking! Bon Appetit!

If you don't have mozzarella cheese, then you can replace it with any other cheese you like and which melts easily.

To fry a pita roll, it is not necessary to use olive oil, you can use any other vegetable oil, for example sunflower.

The ham can be substituted with carbonate or your favorite smoked sausage.

You can also add greens, vegetables, chopped meat or pieces of boiled chicken.

  • 100 g ham;
  • 1 small cucumber;
  • 1 small tomato;
  • greens;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

How to make a pita roll with ham and cream cheese:

We need thin pita, it is also called Armenian. Ideal for rolls, it rolls up easily and pairs well with a variety of foods. For a roll with ham and vegetables, we need 2 sheets of pita bread measuring 20x40 cm.

Now let's turn to the filling for pita rolls. Processed cheese three on a medium or fine grater and mix with mayonnaise. You should get a pasty mass that is easy to spread. We definitely try it - you may want to add salt and pepper.

Lubricate the first sheet of pita bread with melted cheese and mayonnaise. We should take about half of the total amount of cheese mass.

We spread lettuce on pita bread with cheese - in one layer.

Cut the ham into thin slices and spread over the lettuce leaves.

Now let's deal with the second sheet of pita bread. We also grease it with a mixture of processed cheese and mayonnaise (the remaining amount is used up). And put the second lavash with cheese mass on the first sheet - with salad and ham.

Cut the cucumber and tomato into thin strips and put them on the second sheet of pita bread. Chop the greens (I took parsley) finely and send them to the vegetables.

We roll up the pita bread into a tube (dense enough). And, packed in foil or cling film, we send it to the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

Then we just have to cut the pita roll with ham and vegetables into round loaves 1.5-2 cm thick and we can serve it on the table.

  13. Here you need to squeeze it over the entire surface during the folding process, otherwise the roll will not turn out to be dense
  14. One more moment, the upper edge of the pita bread should be left free and thoroughly smeared with melted cheese.
  15. This is necessary so that our rolls with ham and cheese, after cutting, stick together and do not unfold.
  16. Next, cut the resulting roll in half (solely for convenience so that it fits completely on the cutting board),
  17. And cut the roll with ham and cheese into separate rolls, about 1 centimeter thick,

How to make pita roll with ham and cheese, recipe:

Making a snack roll in advance, even before the guests arrive, as a rule, we send it to infuse in the refrigerator. And if you make it from one lavash, then after smearing with mayonnaise, it may simply soften and fall apart when slicing. So, to prevent this from happening, the first layer (which will later be the top) must be laid in two layers of pita bread. So, when spinning, the roll will be denser and will not soften.
I would also like to note that before starting the assembly of the pita bread roll, the ingredients (ham, eggs, cheese and herbs) must be chopped in advance into separate plates. After that, you can proceed to cooking:

Place pita bread on the work surface. Put the second pita on it.

Grease double pita bread on top with mayonnaise with the addition of chopped garlic.

Then lay out the chopped ham. It can be grated on a coarse grater, or cut into strips or small cubes with a knife.

Put the pita bread again on top.

It also needs to be smeared with mayonnaise and sprinkled with chopped herbs.

Then sprinkle the pita bread on top with grated on a coarse grater boiled eggs.

It remains to put grated cheese on pita bread.

We twist the pita bread into a roll, trying to make it dense.

If you are making a snack roll from thin Armenian lavash, which is usually commercially available in an elongated oval shape, the roll turns out to be quite long. It can be immediately cut in half, laid out neatly on a wooden board or a large dish, covered with a plastic bag on top and sent to the refrigerator. So it will soak and become even tastier.

20-30 minutes before serving, you need to cut the snack and put it on a plate. Bon Appetit!
